  • There’s some confusion somewhere here, but I’m not entirely sure where. If you’re using a torrent client, you’re not using Real-Debrid. You can download torrents via Real-Debrid, but the torrent part is done on their servers. When you then download the files, you’re not torrenting, you’re downloading directly from Real-Debrid’s servers.

If do you want torrent client recommendations, qbittorrent on PC and LibreTorrent on Android. Just know that you wouldn’t be using Real-Debrid while using these.

  • They’re talking about Real Debrid, which is a subscription service allowing access to hosters and easy conversion of torrents to direct streams. It’s really cheap and absolutely worth the money IMO, but RD doesn’t seed torrents. Distributing content in that manner would get them in heaps of legal trouble.

I guess it does somewhat solve the problem of leeching, as if anyone has streamed a torrent via RD in the past 30 days you’ll just load their cached copy, but I was perhaps naïvely hoping for an actual addon (RD is not an addon but rather can be configured through Torrentio) that somehow seeded torrents I stream.

  • I type things in for her because she’s a really bad typist, but she tells me what to write…

At the risk of being that asshole who tells a parent how to raise their child based off a single post online, how do you expect her to become a better typist if you do it for her? She’s 13, she’s probably not gonna be that good at anything, she’s at the age where she’s supposed to be learning things (and that includes skills like typing).

Maybe I’m just projecting my own parents’ shortcomings onto you, but they often just did things for me instead of helping me learn. I think I would be a better, more well-rounded human today if they had pushed me to be a bit more independent. I’m sure you’re doing this out of love for your daughter, but I think you might not be doing her any favours by doing a portion of the work yourself. If she decides to pursue post-secondary education, are you still going to type her essays for her? What about if she gets a job that involves typing?

I’m not particularly annoyed by the original post, I was just trying to be helpful and answer the question the other commenter had. Even then, this community is named “mildly infuriating” , you’d think being annoyed would be kinda the baseline.

I will admit I’m a bit annoyed by your tone and approach to conversation, which is probably why my last comment was a bit snarky. I do apologize for that. However, I honestly don’t have the energy to deal with people initiating a discussion with immediate aggression, especially when they decide to read things into my comments that aren’t there. You should try engaging in good-faith conversation sometime, it’s a lot less exhausting than jumping at people’s throats.
