I had a 9t pro. Great hw, but the sw was so bad l moved to a pixel 7 pro with graphene. To give you an idea, when installing tailscale it won’t work (my gut feeling is that it didn’t honor the added route table). I did install lineage (and the unlock process was a pain too) but then banking apps won’t work (and they do work on graphene). Also I didn’t appreaciate the constant “phoning home” for telemetry.
Tl, dr: software was so bad it put me off hardware
I have a pixel7pro with graphene. It works great! All the banking apps work. I have Google services (I really need Google maps), but as they are sandboxed I can stop them when I don’t need them. I don’t use Google play store (aurora store instead and droid-ify). I’d say go for it!

I recently installed GrapheneOS on a pixel 7 pro. Waaaay easier than lineageOS. As long as you have the drivers installed on your pc and opposable thumbs, it’s a breeze.
Plus1 for dockge. Started using yesterday (with podman), moving from portainer (with docker). And I have around 50 stacks, so not just a few *arr. It’s really good, and the option to work directly via CLI or the web interface is really nice!
I have the same tablet and OS (and apps, but I use aurora store as well). I am not happy that the fingerprint sensor doesn’t work, but other than that is great.
I use it as reader, media player, some school apps of my kids.
I’ve used it (with a Bluetooth keyboard) as remote desktop client.
Sometimes web browsing but not really much.
I appreciate that, but it would be another part of my infra that I have to manage. I have enough stuff to worry about already, if I can just send some money in an envelope would save me a lot of time!

Short answer: yes. Longer answer: I have a matrix server with a whatsapp bridge. If I remove the connection between WhatsApp and matrix, I can still see a the contacts and messages (of WhatsApp) in matrix.

If you are looking for no fuss (and no bloatware), check out Fairphone. They provide OS updates for at least 5 years, and with the last one they say it will receive updates for even longer.
Without going into details to avoid giving out ideas, think the concept of script kiddies for example. Doing harm for no reason. Or with more experience doing harm for personal gain
Hum, I hate to be that guy, but the good (experienced) bad actors have multiple profiles curated exactly for this reason. There’s a reason why companies require proof of identity and a background security check.

Nobody’s normal, we are all weird in our own way.
I try to use Magic earth as much as possible, also because I like the dashcam feature. But more than once when entering a street address/number it sent me in the wrong spot. Or searching for places by name instead of address I get the right results maybe 50% of the time. But if I know exactly where I want to go and can pinpoint it on the map, it’s great!
Now tbh I’ve found a bug (or something I can’t figure out anyway) and the sound doesn’t work on graphene. I need to look into it a bit more but can be a problem.
Never heard of GW maps and the only results seem about Guild Wars maps…
