ViaBedrock would be cool if it at least allowed building. World archival is neat though.
I doubt I’d be banned on my friend’s personal realm, unless microsoft have automatic anti-cheat running even there.

With the sole exception of playing on a bedrock server. I’ve looked for Java mods to facilitate this, but only found the reverse (understandably).
There have been many an issue with YT changing notification settings, or even unsubscribing people. I don’t know if they still do that, but it used to happen to enough people at once that channels would mention checking your notification settings after seeing double digit percentage drops in base viewership.
Boost still works with some finagling with mods
Legislation basically specifing such has been passed for some reason, and I bet that reason is money.
Yeah, just about any diet will have enough other carbs to work, but if all you eat is white bread and pepsi, that will be another issue with your diet.
Eh, too much fructose and your body stops processing it. Fructose doesn’t actually trigger your body to use it, and if you don’t have enough other sugars present, it causes problems. Not an issue in moderation, but high-fructose syrup is used in so many things that it’s a real concern.
It’s not very active or professed if you do it privately with existing tools.
I’m still amazed that I’d never heard about Nortel until this year.
Yeah, I looked it up and the A line is pretty budget. It’s still horrifically slow though, I’m disappointed the stock OS operates that poorly.
Really? My Galaxy Tab A was slow as crap right out of the box. Even removing the bloatware didn’t help too much, and it’s new enough to get forced updates that reinstall the bloatware. It’s so bad that simply swiping between home screen panels can take several seconds.
Also, the digitiser seems to shut off if it’s not used for a few seconds, then takes a second or two to start receiving input once touched again. It also has accuracy issues at regular intervals, almost like a few of the contacts didn’t make contact.
Is the S supposed to be better than the A? Either way, very disappointed.
That idiom only works with relative terms.
“When everyone is rich, then no one will be”
Not “When everyone is blond, then no one will be”
It’s not even knockoffs, my last two android tablets were trash. Asus; poor physicsl quality, bad audio driver, screen connector fails with slight flexing, silver detailing full of chips. Samsung; full of bloatware, super slow, drops inputs regularly, sometimes takes seconds to react. Both cost more than twice as much as my first tablet from 2013, both ran worse out-of-the-box than my first tablet still does today.
Walking isn’t a sign of intelligence. Starfish walk, using hundreds to thousands of feet uder each arm, and sometimes the arms themselves. Sea pigs also walk, and neither have a brain.
Besides, you’re strawmanning their definition;
performing a task indistinguishable from a human
is very different from
can perform a complex task that is indistinguishable from the work of a human
A good calculator can compute arithmetic better than a mathematician, but it cannot even parse the work of a high school student. Wolfram Alpha on the other hand gets pretty close.
A wind up toy can propel itself using as few as one appendage, but fails at actually traversing anything. Some machines with more legs can amble across some terrain, but are still beaten by a headless chicken. Meaningful travel needs a much more complex system of object avoidance and leg positioning, which smells more like AI.
The way AI is often used isn’t “do a task that a human has done”, but “replace the need for a human, or at least a specialist human”. Chess AI replaces the need for a second player, as do most game AIs. AI assistants replace much of the need for, well, assistants and underwriters. Auto-pilots replace the need for constantly engaged pilots, allowing bathroom breaks and rest.
Meanwhile, you can’t use a calculator without already knowing how to math, and even GPS guided tractors need a human to set up the route. These things aren’t intelligent in any way; they’re incapable of changing behavior to fit different situations, and can’t deploy themselves.
Love Prism, love Modrinth, still can’t make modpack updates curseforge clients can use. Since everyone else on the server uses CF, I need to build the modpack on CF then import to Prism for myself.
I did see that making a CF modpack file might be possible soon though.
Prism is life, I agree. My friends don’t, so I need a curseforge pack to distribute server updates with. The stupid part is curseforge has a working linux version, but it only does WoW.
The other one is playing on a realm. The desktop solution is supposed to be the Win10 version, but screw that. I’d love to see a mod that lets java join bedrock servers, but they all run the other way. The solution is running the android version with a third-party launcher.
Android extensions work, even on ancient versions. Not all extensions of course, but the important ones.
There are several, possibly dozens, of tab group extensions for firefox.
As a linux noob, I’d say it 90% there. I got a new computer recently, decided to only install linux to see if I could dump windows entirely, expecting to dualboot eventually. The only problems I’ve had so far are Curseforge, MC realms, and One Shot. I’ve got Modded Skyrim and modded Hollow Knight working, I’m incredibly happy with linux gaming.
This is also data from an opt-in survey of only one kind of user. The real number of Linux users is probably somewhat higher due to the higher level of privacy conscientiousness in the community.
