The question was why bother
The question was why bother
I mean, I think we’re saying the same thing, you just have better vocabulary than I :)
Right – I’m not saying you could build a compiler then just go to town. You would still have to build all the tools, using PHP, to interact with hardware, the way other languages do. A horrible idea, lol, but interesting, sort of. Since at its core as long as you can execute logic and read/write to memory, you could do it, I think
Theoretically if you found a way to compile PHP, you probably could though, right?
That’s the basis for my claim actually. The other position has a date not the word “present”. Which I now realize includes 2023 not this year, so I don’t know what the original question was getting at.
Nope. If he hadn’t quit, it would say “present” instead of July 2024
Do you really expect them to allow you to circumvent the only easy way we have to verify ownership of an account?
Nope. I don’t eat chalk either
Haha wow, yeah that’s pretty weird. I can’t stand the taste of milk, but I feel like even if I could, like anything else, it would get sort of sickening in such large quantities
Because I’ve literally only known a single adult to opt into drinking milk and it was my 90 year old grandfather. Always thought it was super strange to like milk so much.
Are you a cat?
Milk is disgusting with all foods, or by itself
You’re getting downvoted but you’re actually correct. My grandfather was told by his doctor not to drink so much milk. He drank at least 3 glasses a day. I forget why but if you’re telling an 85 yo to stop doing something as a doctor, it probably has some bad short-term effects
I haven’t actually seen that.
Why’d you type that fact all weird?
I have luck with it daily. I wouldn’t want to return to writing code without ever having little shortcuts builtin to my workflow throughout every day. It certainly saves me time and I have some other teammates who agree. Some luddites on the team also, but I don’t let their fear bog me down. I think everyone who is strictly against copilot actually has failed to ever try it
I don’t agree. Every time I have tried to point out that GitHub copilot is a helpful tool, the trolls come out of the woodwork to tell me I’m wrong and a shitty developer
But 9/10 Lemmy users are super pissed about anything “LLM” (I don’t dare say AI, since what we have now is NoThInG mOrE tHaN a PaRrOt)
A string that represents types…
