Thanks. I didn’t know that when one adds an image it would override the URL. Even though the post contains the URL, clicking on the title only shows the image. I included the URL in the post body, but it’s not as visible, unfortunately.
I would definitely have the “Vital Contributor” badge if it existed.
I think the video description does a good job of summarizing it.
In Object-Oriented Programming, objects are instances of classes and they encapsulate behavior and state - that is what every textbook on OOP is teaching. However, there’s a subtle limitation in OOP when it comes to dealing with changes in the state of these objects. We often try to mitigate that limitation by applying the State design pattern, but that adds extra complexity and potential confusion to downstream components, especially when using Object-Relational Mappers (ORMs).
In this video, you will learn to recognize the fundamental limitation of Object-Oriented Programming and how Functional Programming (FP) offers an inverse perspective. Through immutability and transformations of values, FP tends to make state transitions explicit and predictable, leading to a more straightforward way of handling the issues that would otherwise be too large a burden for a corresponding object-oriented model. This requires a shift in thinking and can introduce its own challenges and learning curves. It is a fascinating topic, shedding light on the fundamental underpinnings of OOP and FP, and their practical implications in software development.
You can just build a time machine and commit it before the other one. Problem solved.
Impressive. I never got past the YouTube URL. But I refresh the captcha until it doesn’t contain any numbers so that it doesn’t mess with the “25”. Still, it the YouTube video contains too many numbers, then it’s difficult.
You can change the captcha by refreshing it using the button next to it
If your move is a “check” move, you need to add “+” to it: Qe7+
I think at that point the game requires two players cooperating. One searches for YouTube videos while the other is feeding Paul.
You can change the captcha using the refresh button next to it. But Nd is not a problem. Its atomic number is 60. You need to add up to 200. Fm: 100, Zr: 40. I knew that memorizing atomic numbers would pay back some day :P
That’s a heroic effort! I laughed so hard.
You can just write XXXV. You don’t need any other roman numerals.
Careful with Paul. He may starve.
This is the best I could do
You just need to copy paste that emoji (weight lifting) into your password multiple times. It will eventually be strong enough.
It highlights all the elements in your password. You need to find their atomic numbers. And then add other elements to add it up to 200. If you search for “atomic number 100” duckduckgo will give you Fermium (Fm), for example.
Aaaaand that was the end of it:
I think I managed to save Paul from fire.
Thanks. That helped. I got Paul now. The suspense is killing me :D
Who is Paul? Why is he killed? So many questions. And I’m still stuck at the chess board…
