Mine did that too recently! It really freaked me out as I normally share my contact card and tell them to send me theirs after, but I immediately got all of their information as soon as I texted them. I have a Pixel 6 Pro.

If it helps at all, I have had a much better time on here than I ever did on Reddit. It isn’t perfect, but I at least feel like I am not going to be punished for existing, even if people disagree with me. All mod logs are public, so there is at least some transparency there. So far, I like lemmy.world and dbzer0.

Only people I ever have a problem with are Project Managers. I have had way more bad experiences with utterly psychotic PMs than PMs who are actually good at their job. Everybody else is super cool, but I swear all of you are alcoholics. At least Sales pays for the drinks?

I started 30 minute backups earlier. It updates from the yuzu repo and downloads all of the releases from yuzu-mainline if there are new ones. Anything else I should also backup?

I wouldn’t have a clue where to put this stuff on the interwebs, but if shit happens, I will be 1 of many backups I guess.

A little smaller as it is a little “tall”, but I otherwise love this thing. The uneven back (or something else?) makes it difficult to consistently work with the wireless charging pad in the car.

The whole thing is fucked all to hell and we have a whole bunch of people afraid of the other gender perpetuating this nightmare of violence, abuse, unhinged reality, and inequality. These violent delights, have violent ends.

However, we can choose to see the beauty in the world. We can love each other, laugh, teach, revel in the mysteries, and hold each other in comfort. There is so much we have achieved as a species, but we are also so good at holding ourselves back. Sometimes, we just need to crash in to each other. To get some kind of connection, even if it is the wrong one.

I am still loving my Pixel 6 Pro. Other than installing AdGuard, or just change your DNS, I pretty much use it as is. I turned off all the Google home or whatever that thing was to the left. Take a minute and go through your installed apps and turn off notifications for things you don’t want or just uninstall. I don’t think you could ever convince me to buy a Samsung again.

My only gripe is the size and how the camera sticks out. The battery life is great, I have plenty of space locally, and I can wirelessly charge my earbuds with it if I want.

What is even more painful is seeing friends glued to TikTok on their phones all day when they have STEM degrees. I didn’t grow up in a typical household, so I have a hard time relating to other women, but I don’t get it either. Do your friends with kids seem to be this way more than those without?

The only way I learned how to type growing up was from instant messaging my friends. All of those ridiculous typing programs didn’t help. One random thing that might help is a different keyboard, or, different profile keycaps!

I love me some mechanical keyboards and I like the tactile feedback from “brown” switches. The last one I built I found out about the wonderful world of keycaps, specifically keycap profiles. I fell in love with MT3s as they are a little “cupped”. My fingers sort of fall into the scoops and get enough tactile feedback to stay on the key and they just feel nice. I haven’t looked at cheaper membrane keyboards in years, but I remember you could pull off the keycaps and put different ones on those, but I have no idea how they are now.

If you are interested in mechanical keyboards, you can usually buy a sample kit that has all of the different switches and you may be able to find something similar for keycaps.

I guess what I am trying to say is a different keyboard, or even keycaps, may help her learn. Though I do realize that this stuff is expensive too. As someone who is on a keyboard everyday, it became a tool to invest in.

I wonder if the $300 is sort of like extra startup money to get better hardware, infrastructure, software improvements in the short term. I honestly have no idea. I pop on there sometimes to watch the full length videos from YouTube and there is some really great content, but not necessarily enough. Their UI/apps could definitely use some work, though I have not checked recently.

I really hope they continue to run and it looks like I need to catch up on some content. I took a break from most YouTube/TV/etc. I cancelled all of my other subscriptions, but I have no reason to not support a company like Nebula, especially at their price points.

I am not going to debate the ethics of piracy or people’s justifications for or against it. It isn’t productive. I do think this is an instance where you are better off paying for a month than spending a lot of time trying to get it another way. Sometimes, I like to put things in the perspective of I make X dollars an hour, how many man hours did I spend to do X task? Cost benefit analysis. This isn’t always practical, thus the “sometimes”.

It is super easy to cancel. You even get a partial refund if you want it gone today. Wait a couple months and see if you really miss it. Join the piracy gang. Ultimately, you are the product and Internet streaming has turned into cable TV. Take back what little privacy you have left.
