I’m glad they show how to turn it off.

My favorite is the remote - location jobs. Almost none of them are actually remote, they just want more people to apply so their quota will be met.

15 years for me. It’s pretty great.

Its more complex than I can talk about here in any kind of depth, but it comes down to it being a very old protocol. It has known security issues that are just not fixed as it would break backwards compatibility with a lot of devices. So the same issues that were chosen to not be fixed are still out there. You can, with very little effort, take control of just about any Bluetooth device(or partial). Or at least knock it out if commission.

When we do defcon, Bluetooth is one of the easiest protocols to take control of. It’s funny. It’s also easy to spoof, easy to mess with, and generally very insecure.

Any way to turn that off? Bluetooth is very insecure.

I got the first version of the terraube. It was awful, which is really unfortunate. They did a good job on the hardware-ish…but they only updated the software once. So the phone, after 3 1/2 years was stuck 2 years into the software lifecycle. Then they released the Terracube 2…which has the same issue. In addition, when I tried to get the original phone serviced, they upped the price of the repairs to about the same as the terracube 2, after promising it would only be 60$ a repair when I first got the phone.

Fairphone was a phone that I had looked at too…but its over 1000+ and I just cant see a phone that expensive.

I wish we could replace batteries…
