It’s honestly kind of amazing that it lasted so long in the first place

Everything about it seems usable but only 32gb of storage is a total dealbreaker imo. Android itself will already take half that space and you will struggle not filling up the dozen gb with apps and downloads. Remember, not everything can be moved to an SD card.

It’s about as good as you can get for a new phone at $100, but in this case I’d just recommend buying something second hand or spending more to get something good.

Having to go through the process of merging hurts morale and slows performance. Give everyone on your team the right to force push to master.

Retroarch on mobile is definitely not a fun experience. Luckily there’s no shortage of good emulators for each console. My experience emulating is pretty fun, I pushed my phone to the limit with Switch emulation via Skyline, but most high-end emulators need a Snapdragon chip to work best.

Speaking of emulation, some people that originally made Skyline are working on a Windows game emulator to release next year. I’m thinking emulation is going to be a huge selling point for android then.

Does it actually have swipe typing? I just downloaded to check and it doesn’t seem like it does.

It was inevitable and it’s not their fault. Because of how the Fediverse works it means they’re storing all content from those communities on their servers too. This means they’re storing piracy content and can be subject to a takedown.

We knew larger instances would defederate from piracy communities at some point, don’t take it out on the admins.

Basically they split into 2 teams:

• Team 1 abandoned Skyline in favor of working on Cassia, a version of Wine that will allow running Windows games on Android

• Team 2 is working on Strato, a continuation of the Skyline emulator to emulate Switch games on Android

Context: The team behind Skyline, the Nintendo Switch emulator for Android, are now working on a version of Wine fine-tuned for Android. The goal is to run windows games on Android, and it seems it will use Vulkan and won’t rely on dated software like Exagear.

Most of the time it depends on the processor. Some processors are notorious for using a lot of energy and therefore get hot. It’s hard to know which ones exactly don’t get hot but generally I would binge reviews and avoid bad processors.
