Oh hooray! I had wondered if I’d hear from you again! What did you think? I would love to hear it

If my wife got to honk at every driver she got mad at from the passenger seat i would lose a lot more fights
Well said. There is a difference between them, but as for me i truly separate the idea of “morality” from the buying and selling (or stealing) of goods. I don’t think it’s wrong, at all.
Stealing from your fellows is a separate issue.
There’s nothing morally wrong with the hypothetical concert goer in my opinion. Maybe my opinion is radical but i don’t think there’s any morality in buying things either.
Hell i’ll go a step further! I think unless you’re stealing from a fellow citizen take that shit bro/sis. Ill cheer you on.
Too much wage theft out there for me to give a fuck about some kid stealing a PlayStation from a walmart
I was going off this info, and was being a bit chicken little (but that position has been working for me LoL) Here’s that link
https://www.theverge.com/24106231/threads-fediverse-demo-meta-fediforum
I got a reply from stretch@lemmy.dbzer0.com further down that sounded like they knew more than me about the situation.
Im sticking to my deffedding for now, and I’ll wait to hear is the sky is falling from my tinfoil bunker
Hmm, no youre right that doesn’t sound respectful at all
Thanks for this context. I myself have been looking around for info and excepting old posts from months ago i have failed. Perhaps the dmca request is more because they are the largest and highest visibility then? Thanks again
I’m talking about the broader implications of meta integration being the possible driving force behind the multiple defederations, not specifically this, the latest, which would be included as part of a larger “cleanup”.
Hmmm I’ve heard lemon commies call tatertrot commies fake commies. Are you a lemon or marker?
Feels like .world is defedding from errybody. Eventually theyre gonna be like aol (or some other more recent, relevant walled garden).
Do y’all think this “cleaning up” has to do with their META threads integration?
nintendos shitty hardware is the only thing keeping me from buying their excellent games. I would rather buy a steam deck and deal with all the associated bullshit getting an emulator working rather than purchase nintendo’s terrible plastic shit.
i sound angry, but thats because i am. i love their games, would give them my money to play them. BUT NOT on crap hardware. never, ever again, nintendo.
harrrumph
This whole thread makes me feel so much better about my struggles with github as a non-developer. I thought it was just me being an idiot
You really can’t get mad over the last guy in the chain
Oh trust me, you can. It doesn’t do any good but you can. You can cultivate a deep and burning, passionate hatred. It gives you superpowers. I gained the superhuman ability to cope and seethe while housing rocky road
Eh I’m not saying you’re wrong or anything. Your explanation was good and thorough. I’m just being grumpy about a point you weren’t making really.
These days there are countless articles explaining the intricacies of why things are shit… I’m tired of the explanations when it boils down to “they’re doing it because they can.” Gets tiring ya know?
Hope i didn’t come off as attacking you, just rantin’
I understand license hell and all that but…
Nah, don’t offer them your understanding. These guys’d root thru your pockets if you were bleeding out
My piriformis
Im not being super serious but its true, molyneauxs promises became a punchline but i loved the games he made. Black & White was buggy, even had a game breaking bug (wolves or something, it happened to me too) but i still lived the shit out of it, fable i played 2 times thru back to back (super, super fun but not what he promised)
That’s what i mean. A broken promise back then was a game that wasn’t as great. Not a game that didn’t even run like that Batman fiasco, or many online only games that don’t even run stable at launch, etc.
He was a simple “problem” in a better age of gaming
Lol the guy is the director of subscriptions even. It’s like asking a vampire his thoughts on blood
Sounds like a business model to me. if i didn’t pirate everything i’d sign up anyway
